Based on recent data, the number of people aged 100 and above in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the number of men aged 100 or over has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. During the identical timeframe, the amount of female centenarians almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are eager to hear from those aged 100 or over, their relatives or companions, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s seismic events and changes.
